This poem is telling you that you need to look deeper than just stereotypes to find out what Canadians are really like. There are lots of stereotypes about canadians. Everyone thinks we ride polar bears, drive pick up trucks, play hockey, and drink maple syrup. For some people this may be true, but some people have never even seen snow and cant even ice skate. Stereotypes are like a human. The outside of a human, its all about looks. But to find out what they really are you have to look deeper on the inside to find the real answer. When Shane Koyczan "we're more than fishing lines and hockey" he was right, lots of people play hockey but just because I'm canadian doesn't mean I'm the next Gretzky. From what Shane Koyczan says he feels like Canadians aren't respected as much as other countries because were young and we have different ideas. But having new ideas and being a growing country is good, it keeps our country strong. When I heard this poem read out it made it feel stronger, like he was trying to make an impression on other people. You have to look under the stereotypes to find out what a canadian is really like, that's what this poem means to me.

A well crafted response! Watch out for the little technical things in your writting like commas and apostrophes.
